File extension DEB works with the Debian Linux Package program. Debian is an operating system that computers use and it is free. The operating system uses Linux kernel the operating system’s core but many of the OS basic tools are derived from GNU project hence GNU/LINUX. The format of .DEB files is standard and this means that a number of programs support it. The usage of the extension is not as complicated as that of some file extensions and this means that one can open them directly. One can run a script or program on them when they have been opened as well. To use .DEB in Windows one should install 7-Zip file achiever. In UNIX they should install Debian Package Management System (DPKG), Adept and Synaptic Package Manger.
